Cosy Cats Cattery was created for one single reason - to provide all pets and pet parents the services, care and support they need and deserve. 

Opening in June 2021, Cosy Cats Cattery is nestled in the heart of the West Cork Countryside, not far from Bandon. This purpose built cattery exceeds the requirements in the Animal Welfare Regulations (2018) which are the standards set by the International Cat Care (formerly the Feline Advisory Bureau, UK).

Each chalet is spacious enough to accommodate two cats from an individual household. Cosy Cats also has two larger executive chalets catering for families of four with access to their own catio.

Our units are made of PVC which offer the highest standard of hygiene, a narrow fixed window between each unit provides an opportunity to see what the neighbour is up to while acting as a sneeze barrier.

All Chalets have their own thermostatically controlled heat panels by the sleep areas. Toys, scratching posts and a variety of raised viewing shelves and resting spots.

We have 8 cats, all rescued whom are cherished, and we know that cats love their comfort and it is with this in mind the chalets were designed down to the cosy bedding, the choice of food, the fresh filtered water, the type of litter and tray being used. We even have units that are more enclosed at the front to give more privacy to the introverted and a separate unit for those who might like the quieter life.

Maintaining the highest standards of care is the norm as is regular interaction with your cat/s and play time, daily grooming (for those who enjoy the process and at the owners request) is offered, and medications can be given if needed, we can also provide a collection and drop off service for an additional fee (limited radius).

All cats will need to have their vaccinations up to date (Certification to be shown before arrival), to be flea and worm treated before arrival. We are open all year round for bookings but client's must ring before arriving.

To open this cattery has been a personal dream of mine which my husband has helped me in realising. We are both animal lovers having many pets ranging from cats, dogs, horses and hens - most of whom are rescues. We have both grown up having pets and my dream was always to work with animals. I have had a variety of pets including house trained rabbits. I have been involved in fostering both dogs and cats over the years before finally deciding to open a cattery. One to where I'd be happy to send my own fur family.
